Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains how LyfQR handles information when you use our application and website.

Last updated: October 25, 2026

1. Introduction

LyfQR provides safety, identity, QR-based and related utility features. This policy explains what information may be processed, how it is used and the choices available to users.

This policy applies to the LyfQR application and www.lyfqr.com.

2. Information We May Process

Depending on the features used and permissions granted, LyfQR may process:

  • Account information: User identifiers and profile details needed for app access.
  • Location information: Location used by enabled geofencing, trip monitoring, SOS and nearby-place features.
  • Emergency information: SOS events, timestamps, status and guardian notification details.
  • Camera and audio information: Images and recordings captured by enabled emergency features.
  • Guardian and trip information: Trusted-contact connections and safety-related trip records.
  • Technical information: App errors, diagnostic logs and troubleshooting data.
  • Support and subscription information: Details provided for support or paid services.

Information processed depends on your account, enabled features, app configuration and device permissions.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide app features and account access.
  • Operate SOS alerts and guardian notifications.
  • Support location-based safety features and geofencing.
  • Provide QR, identity and nearby-place utilities.
  • Handle emergency evidence when enabled.
  • Maintain security, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.
  • Manage subscriptions, support requests and legal obligations.

4. Location and Background Location

Some safety features require location access, including background location where necessary, to support configured office geofencing, trip monitoring or emergency functions.

Nearby-place features may also use location to find relevant services. You can manage permissions in Android settings; restricting them may limit related features.

5. Emergency Camera, Audio and Location Evidence

When an emergency evidence feature is enabled, LyfQR may capture SOS-related audio recordings, incident pictures and location data, subject to the feature's operation, device permissions and Android restrictions.

SOS-generated audio recordings, SOS incident pictures and associated SOS location data are automatically deleted from the database and Firebase Storage after 48 hours.

Emergency evidence may contain sensitive personal information. It may be shared with designated guardians as required for the safety feature you activate.

6. Sharing and Service Providers

Information may be shared with designated guardians to provide configured safety features. LyfQR may use service providers, including applicable Google Firebase services for databases, notifications or file storage, and Google Maps or Places for location-based utilities.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law. Actual sharing depends on the services and integrations used by LyfQR.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

SOS-generated audio recordings, SOS incident pictures and associated SOS location data are automatically deleted from the database and Firebase Storage after 48 hours.

When the in-app account deletion process is completed, applicable profile fields are cleared. These may include name, nickname, registered email stored in the profile, mobile number, blood group, emergency contacts, Blood Buddy details, social links and applicable vault profile or document fields.

Certain identifiers, including User UID, Unique Code, Guardian UID and Handshake Code, may remain stored to support account identification and safety-related connections.

Other information, such as guardian connections, trip records and technical logs, may be subject to separate retention and deletion rules. For account deletion assistance, visit our Account Deletion & Data page or email lyfqr.support@gmail.com.

Clearing profile information and deleting SOS evidence are separate processes. Different information types may have different retention periods.

8. Data Security

LyfQR uses safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children's Privacy

LyfQR's target audience and handling of children's information are subject to applicable laws and the audience declared for the application. Information about children must be handled in accordance with applicable requirements.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, users may request access to, correction of or deletion of eligible personal information. Users can manage device permissions in Android settings. Disabling required permissions may limit related features.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when LyfQR features, data practices or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on our official website.
